Production
In the interests of sustainability, many apparel companies don't want to overproduce.
I work with factories who will make as little as 30-60 pieces of a garment, but if someone only wants, say, 6 cardigans or 8 hats I can often just knit them myself in the workshop.
MofM can knit small batches on 3/5/8 gauge hand machines.
Yarn guidance is available and every effort is made to find deadstock yarns.
